Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Labor and Delivery – Women’s Services to lead and oversee the strategic and operational functions of the labor, delivery, and postpartum care units. This leadership role requires strong clinical knowledge, a passion for women’s health, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams while ensuring excellence in maternal and newborn care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide operational oversight of Labor and Delivery, including staffing, budgeting, compliance, and quality improvement.
-Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with regulatory and hospital standards.
-Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
-Support and mentor nursing staff while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and professional growth.
-Lead departmental planning and policy implementation related to women’s health and childbirth services.
Required Qualifications:
-Current North Carolina RN license.
-Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university.
-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
-Prior management or leadership experience in a labor and delivery setting.
