Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgery Services to lead and oversee perioperative and surgical care operations in Fort Mohave, AZ. This role is responsible for strategic leadership, staff management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within a critical care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical leadership experience, a BSN or higher, and advanced life support certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and operational oversight for surgical services, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with best practices.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives for the surgical department.
Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize departmental efficiency.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
Oversee training and development programs for surgical staff, fostering professional growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher required.
Arizona RN license or Compact State RN license required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as Director of Surgical Services in a critical care hospital.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA required upon hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of leadership experience in surgical services or critical care hospital upper management.
Moderate Sedation Certification preferred.
