Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Education Resource Specialist – RN to support kidney transplant education and training programs at Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational resources and training for transplant nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in kidney transplant coordination, acute care nursing, and staff supervision, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff specializing in kidney transplant patient care.
Provide clinical training and mentorship to transplant nurses, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient education and care coordination.
Maintain compliance with OPTN, CMS, and hospital transplant program guidelines.
Evaluate training effectiveness and update educational materials based on latest research and clinical advancements.
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for kidney transplant-related nursing education.

Requirements:

Active RN Texas License or multi-state compact RN license (clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions).
Master’s degree required (Education preferred).
BLS certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
3 years of Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience (non-negotiable).
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Updated resume with accurate job history and clear explanations for any job changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Transplant Coordinator is a plus.
Experience with Epic, OPTN, and CMS guidelines.
Strong ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
