Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team in Burlington, VT. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging, and maintaining compliance with radiation safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have ARRT or NMTCB (CNMT) certification, a degree in Nuclear Medicine, and eligibility for a Vermont Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies and PET/CT scans as prescribed by physicians.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure patient safety during imaging procedures.
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
Document imaging procedures and patient data in Epic EMR (preferred).
Ensure compliance with state and federal radiation safety guidelines.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine required.
Active ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology OR active NMTCB (CNMT) certification.
Vermont Nuclear Medicine Technologist license or eligibility to obtain.
Must provide a copy of college transcripts upon interview invitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Epic EMR.
PET/CT imaging experience.
Experience in a Level I trauma center.
One year of paid experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
