Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Director to lead the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a respected healthcare facility in Brownsville, TX. This leadership role oversees clinical operations, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives within a collaborative, patient-focused NICU environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the NICU
Manage staffing, scheduling, and compliance with quality and safety standards
Support nursing staff through mentorship, education, and performance evaluation
Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent neonatal care
Contribute to hospital-wide initiatives for patient safety, clinical excellence, and staff engagement
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school, with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas
AHA BLS certification
2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or full-time charge nurse
Preferred Qualifications:
MSN or master’s degree in a healthcare-related field
