Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Plattsburgh, NY. This role focuses on providing comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services, including medication preparation, dispensing, and clinical consultation. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, a current NY pharmacist license (or the ability to obtain one), and the flexibility to work evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, dispense, and verify medications for inpatient use, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
Provide medication therapy management and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing adjustments based on patient conditions.
Educate healthcare professionals and patients on medication use, safety, and side effects.
Ensure adherence to state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations.
Support inventory management, medication reconciliation, and quality assurance initiatives.

Requirements:

At least two years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
Current New York state pharmacist license (or ability to obtain one).
Ability to work onsite and commit to the evening shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

Residency training experience.
1+ years of Epic EMR training.
Retail pharmacy experience.
