Job Overview:
A leading healthcare institution in Missoula, MT, is seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Adult Acute Services to lead its inpatient adult care operations. This senior-level executive role is designed for an experienced nursing leader who brings strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to patient- and family-centered care across adult medical-surgical and RNU units.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for Adult Acute Services, including Med/Surg and RNU departments.
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-focused care.
Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads across the organization to align services with institutional goals.
Drive performance improvement, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Manage budgeting, staffing, and departmental planning for optimal resource utilization and service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive nursing leadership experience; five (5) years preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in patient- and family-centered care.
Proven ability to lead within complex hospital systems and across multiple disciplines.
Solid experience in Med/Surg and RNU hospital-based operations.
Broad knowledge of healthcare administration principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Board certification in nursing leadership or specialty area.
Certification in patient safety and/or clinical quality.
Prior experience as a nursing services unit director.
