Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sonography Supervisor to lead and oversee the ultrasound department in Burlington, VT. This role is responsible for supervising sonographers, ensuring high-quality imaging services, and maintaining accreditation and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive sonography experience, including breast ultrasound, as well as leadership skills to manage departmental operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the sonography department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to sonographers, fostering a culture of excellence.
Oversee ACR accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with imaging standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage imaging protocols and collaborate with radiologists to optimize diagnostic accuracy.
Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
Assist with budget planning, resource allocation, and process improvements to enhance department efficiency.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current ARDMS certification in Sonography.
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in sonography, including breast ultrasound.
Experience participating in ACR accreditation and inspection specific to Sonography.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a unionized healthcare environment.
Background in project management and budget planning.
Previous lead sonographer experience.
